A practical look at the Quizzles & Book Tonie Tonieplay Set: what's in the box, how the quiz games and book Tonies work together, and who should buy it.
Quick answer
Buy the Quizzles & Book Tonie Tonieplay Set if you want a single bundle that combines two quiz-style Tonieplay games, a controller, a Sky Blue Toniebox 2, and a four-book Junie B. Jones Tonies pack. Skip it if your child already has a Toniebox 2 or prefers story listening over quiz play.
What the bundle actually combines
This set is not just a game or just a book pack. It pairs two Tonieplay Quizzles games (All About Animals and All About Technology) with the Tonieplay Controller needed to play them, adds a Sky Blue Toniebox 2 as the audio base, and includes a four-pack of Junie B. Jones Book Tonies for screen-free story time.
That mix matters because the quiz games and the book Tonies serve different moods: active trivia play versus quiet listening. If you only want one of those, a smaller set or a standalone Tonie would likely cost less and take up less shelf space.
Quiz play versus book listening: a real trade-off
The Quizzles games are interactive and work with the included controller, so they suit children who like answering questions and competing. The Junie B. Jones Book Tonies are passive listening, better for wind-down time, car rides, or independent reading along.
The catch is that a child who strongly prefers one mode may ignore the other half of the bundle. Consider whether your child enjoys quiz formats at all before paying for a set that leans on them.
When the Sky Blue Toniebox 2 is the deciding factor
If you do not yet own a Toniebox, the included Sky Blue Toniebox 2 is the reason this set makes sense as a first purchase: it gives you the player, the controller, two games, and four books in one go.
If you already have a Toniebox 2, you are paying for a second player you may not need. In that case, price out the games, controller, and book Tonies separately before committing to the bundle.
Decision rules for buying this set
- First Toniebox purchase: Choose this set if you have no Toniebox yet and want quiz games plus books in one bundle. The included Sky Blue Toniebox 2 and controller make it a complete starting point. Check that the Sky Blue color suits your child before ordering.
- Already own a Toniebox 2: Do not buy this set just for the games and books. Compare the price of the two Quizzles games, the controller, and the Junie B. Jones four-pack bought separately. A second Toniebox 2 is only worth it if another child needs their own player.
- Child prefers stories to quizzes: If your child listens quietly rather than answering questions, a book Tonie pack alone is the lower-risk buy. The Quizzles games may go unused. Match the purchase to how your child actually plays, not how the bundle is marketed.
- Budget check: The catalog lists this set at USD 137.24 against a comparison price of USD 224.99. Treat that comparison as a reference point, not a guarantee, and confirm the current price at checkout. Recheck the price before buying, since catalog prices can change.
