Julia Donaldson: Highway Rat Tonie

My three-year-old now shouts "give me your chocolate éclairs!" at random moments, which tells you everything about how catchy the rhymes are. The tonie itself is sturdy enough that it's survived being dropped on the kitchen tiles twice already.

The voice acting on this one is brilliant—my kids actually quote the “chocolate éclairs” line around the house now. It’s held up to at least twenty plays on our Toniebox without any skipping, and the story keeps their attention the whole way through.

The rhyming narration had my four-year-old giggling at the Highway Rat’s terrible manners, and the voice acting really brings the story to life. It's become our go-to pick for car rides, and the clip-on design makes it easy for little hands to swap out on the Toniebox.
