The rhyming is what really gets my 3-year-old joining in, she finishes the lines before the narrator does. It's short enough for a car ride but still keeps her quiet the whole way to daycare.
My toddler asks for the mouse and the fox every single night now, and I love that it's the full story with all the rhymes intact. The little figure sits on the shelf right next to her other ones and she knows exactly which one is the Gruffalo.
The Gruffalo story is perfectly narrated on this Tonie — we’ve listened to it on three car trips already and my three-year-old still gasps at the fox scene every time. The audio quality is clear and the mouse’s voice has just the right amount of cheek.
